Fatty Acids and Elements Profile of Different Parts from Congress grass (Parthenium hysterophorus L.)

Congress grass (Parthenium hysterophorus L., family Asteraceae) is found generally in agricultural and vacant lands across the globe. This study investigated fatty acids elemental profiles of different parts including roots, stem leaves P. response to seasonal variation. The analysis acid were determined both winter summer seasons. root, stem, powder subjected extraction with acetone, water, chloroform, diethyl ether, ethanol, methanol, n-hexane measure extractive values. Among all plant parts, recorded highest value 29%, 28% acetone respectively, while root lowest (10.3%) chloroform. Higher concentrations saturated unsaturated detected collection than season. Parthenium multi medicinal applications such as used for rheumatic pain, urinary tract infections, inflammation, diarrhea, neuralgia, malaria. highlights importance time (seasons) maximum elements either or from pharmacogenetic point view.
