Fatty Acids and Elements Profile of Different Parts from Congress grass (Parthenium hysterophorus L.)

Congress grass (Parthenium hysterophorus L., family Asteraceae) is found generally in agricultural and vacant lands across the globe. This study investigated fatty acids elemental profiles of different parts including roots, stem leaves P. response to seasonal variation. Among all plant parts, recorded highest value 29%, 28% acetone respectively, while root lowest (10.3%) chloroform. Higher concentrations saturated unsaturated detected collection than season.
